Djokovic is again the 1st seed for this tournament in England and that’s his 4th straight year at being the No. 1 Seed while Nadal holds on to the 10th Seed. The 7 time winner R. Federer is 2nd behind the Serbian Djokovic, and the champion for 2013 and the English favorite A. Murray is listed as the No. 3 Seed.

For the Women, the WTA side you have Serena Williams the 5 time winner in front the ladies at the No. 1 Seed, while last year’s champion P. Kvitova is the No. 2 seed, and S. Halep and M. Sharapova are 3rd and 4th respectively.
The seeding in this tournament give Nadal a route to winning that could be nothing more than a nightmare. According to most internet sportsbooks, having a difficult year is not enough for Nadal, as he managed win at Stuttgart on the grass, and then was beaten by 75th ranked A. Dologopolov in the Queen’s Club 1st Round, and even though he had won the French Open nine times he was eliminated in the finals by Djokovic.

Now in this Wimbledon tournament Nadal is likely to face a top seed opponent, possibly before the quarter finals and that presents a nightmare for a player who has tried to make advances after overcoming earlier injury problems. In last year’s Wimbledon and the round of 16 Nadal lost to N. Kyrgios, and that brings Nadal memories and reminds him, that he will need to improve if he desires to play in the last stage of the 2015 Wimbledon Tournament.

The excitement for the tennis betting fan in this tournament is the appearance of local English player Andy Murray who will excited the fans, to see them whooping and cheering after each of his shots in this 2015 Wimbledon. 2015 French Open Round 2

2015 French Open Betting Moves Into Round 2‏!

2015 French Open Betting Round 2With the Roland Garros French open now underway, and moving into the 2nd round, some of those advancing are Nadal and Ferrer in the ATP and Wozniacki in the WTA.

On the Men’s (ATP) side of this tournament, the 9 time French Open Champion Nadal had a pleasant return to the clay courts this past Tuesday as he played Frances wild card entry in 18 year old Quentin Hayls, and Nadal never appeared to being tested and sped through the 2nd round going 6-3, 6-3 and 6-4 to beat his opponent who is ranked 296th.

Actually the only time Nadal lost on the clay court was back in 2009 in the 4th round when he was beaten by R. Soderling and that was Nadal’s 1st and last loss, as after his win over Halys he is 67-1 overall.

In the 1st set on Tuesday Nadal seemed a little upset in the opening set of the match, but after that he was in control through the final point.  Coming into the French Open, many people who bet on tennis had many questions surrounded Nadal’s form as he had a very vigorous start to his season, and actually came into the French with 5 previous losses on clay courts. That happens to more losses on clay in 1 year, since he lost 6 times on clay back in 2003 as a youthful teen.

In the 2nd round Nadal face tougher competition as he faces Nicolas Almagro who is supposedly a clay court specialist, if there is one.  Nadal stated, “If I play well, I have a good chance of winning.”

Since the seeding is low, Nadal may have to face Novak Djokovic the top ranked player in the quarter finals in this French Open. Djokovic comes into this open with a 22 game consecutive winning streak, and is after the on Grand Slam Title not included in his collection, the French Open. Earlier today Djokovic faced 87th ranked J. Nieminen and posted a convincing win on the clay at 6-2, 7-5 and 6-3 for the victory now moving his wins to 23 straight to date.

Also, in the men’s draw at the Roland Garros the 7th seed D. Ferrer managed his 300th win of his career and on his favorite surface, clay with a win of 6-1, 6-3 and 6-1 over L. Lacko whom is ranked 94th.  Also M. Cilic the 2014 U.S. Open Champ easily beat R. Haase 6-2, 6-4 and 6-2 in Cilic’s first Grand Slam tournament this 2015.

Then on the Women’s (WTA) side of the 2015 Roland Garros French Open, Denmark’s C. Wozniacki had a strong start and against a very tough opponent in K. Knapp who has been successful on clay to date, bit lost to the experienced Wozniacki at 6-3 and 6-0 on Tuesday to move on to this 2nd Round.

Knapp arrived at this 2015 French Open arriving from gaining a 2nd career win at the Nuremberg last week and an 8-2 record on clay courts. But Knapp was no competition for the 5th seeded Wozniacki who was in the quarterfinals here at the Roland Garros back in 2010.

Another player to advance to the WTA 2nd round was P. Kvitova a 2-time Wimbledon champ who had a tough time for three sets in her match-up with M. Erakovic who is ranked 80th. Eventually Kvitova made the win at 6-4, 3-6 and 6-4 to move on to the 2nd round.

The 1st seeded player to lose was 25th seed J. Jankovic and a 3rd time semifinals player at the French Open’s lost to qualifier S. Karatantcheva 6-3 and 6-4 in the loss.  Stay tuned for more from the 2015 Roland Garros French Open from Paris.
